Larry the Lizzard

Larry is a benevolent Lizard.  He likes to do good things for people.  One day he asked his parents if he could have their consent to go to the otter’s house.  Being very kindly parents they agreed.  Discreetly, his mother gave him a lunch to take with him that included tasty flees to munch on.  Larry started his way down the road that was really a branch but he didn’t mind.  A dragonfly zoomed past him quickly.  He was quickly engrossed with the bright flashing colors of its wings.  Larry felt that this beautiful creature should be held in great esteem.  Next, he dropped down onto the ground and crawled gaily through the lush grass.  Coming up to a stream, he looked at his reflection and to his surprise, his nose was greatly distorted.  Even though the walk was an extensive one, the fantastic weather would help lighten the journey.  Five minutes passed with the joyous chirping of crickets on his left to the singing of birds up in a tree to his right.  The sounds one bird made, called the mockingbird, had intrigued him so much he tried to imitate the noises himself!  Larry marveled at how far he could travel when he was having fun!  Because he was almost to Otter’s house, he pretended to be on a secret mission and the lunch he carried was a very important document.  To be on a mission was an opportunity of a life time for Larry.  He always dreamed of being a spy one day and he would never relinquish that hope.  In his make-believe world, the evil tyrant was Lord Fly.  Larry spotted a fly and decided that he would be Lord Fly.  Stealthily, Larry crept toward the evil doer.  With a flick of his tong, the fly was vanquished and his belly was satisfied.  When he looked up, he was at Otter’s house with Otter waiting for him.
